Simon Andersson

Guitar player

Swedish composer, musician and producer.
Simon began his musical journey as a session bass player,both live and in studio. Been working and performing with various Swedish artists around Sweden for many years.

In 2007 he joined Pain of Salvation as a full-time member as the bass player and toured all over the world and played the biggest metal festivals in Europe. Simon recorded the live CD/DVD "Ending Themes - On the Two Deaths of..." with the band before leaving in 2009.

Shortly after his departure he joined Darkwater, just in time for the recordings of their 2nd release "Where Stories End" and has been a member since. Darkwater's latest release "Human" was released in 2019.

In 2015 "In the Head of a Maniac" was released. A band/project called AudioPlastik which features singer Dec Burke (ex Frost*), keyboard player Richard West (Threshold) and Simon himself playing and recording most of the instruments.

Simon's musical journey has escalated in the last couple of years, joining SCARLET as a songwriter/producer, was recruited as the bass player for Oblivion Protocol (feat. members from WithinTemptation, Threshold and Devin Townsend) and in 2023 also joined a brand new Swedish pop rock band called Dear Atlas as the guitar player.
