Franklin Simon
Guitarist/ Music Producer
Franklin Simon is a talented guitarist and music producer from India, celebrated for his expressive playing and deep roots in gospel and contemporary music. His journey began at the age of 10, inspired by his father, Wellington, himself a guitarist. Raised in a musical family within a church environment—his grandfather serves as pastor—Franklin grew up surrounded by instruments and worship.
Trained in church, he mastered funk, jazz, pop, rock, and gospel before becoming a sought-after guitarist for ministries and gospel events nationwide. He’s shared stages with well-known Indian worship leaders such as Pastor Gersson Edinbaro, Benny Joshua, Jeswin Samuel, and Blessing Edinbaro.
As his reputation grew, Franklin entered recording sessions, collaborating with prominent Tamil Nadu music producers like Giftson Durai (GD Productions), John Rohith (John Bounce Production), and Sam Jebastin. He's contributed to numerous gospel albums and singles, showcasing his skills as both guitarist and producer.
Today, Franklin co-leads Southern Draft, a band and production collective that blends live performance with studio creativity. Their work can be explored on their YouTube channel, Southern Draft, where they continue to share fresh gospel and contemporary music with a growing audience.
