Martín Furia
Guitarist/ Producer/ Live Sound Engineer
Martín Furia, born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, has emerged as a powerhouse guitarist, producer, and live sound engineer whose work spans continents and metal subgenres.
Furia began his musical journey in the early 1990s with JesusMartyr, an Argentine death-metal band. As guitarist (and occasional backing vocalist), he toured South America and Europe before relocating to Belgium in 2007. In Antwerp, he evolved into a versatile studio professional, working with bands such as Nervosa, Evil Invaders, and Sisters of Suffocation, showcasing both technical skill and a sharp ear for sonic clarity.
In 2015, Furia founded Bark, a groove metal outfit he fronts as composer, guitarist, producer, and mixer. Bark’s aggressive riffs and polished production on releases like Voice of Dog (2016), Written in Stone (2020), and Rambler of Aeons (2022) reflect Furia’s vision and readmission of raw heaviness into modern metal.
His breakthrough into elite thrash metal came in 2021 when he joined German legends Destruction—not just as guitarist, but having served as their tour manager and sound engineer since 2016. On Diabolical (2022) and Birth of Malice (2025), he contributes sharp twin leads, ferocious riffage, and even handled mixing and mastering on the latter—melding thrash tradition with modern polish.
Beyond recording and touring, Furia excels on stage and behind the board. He’s engineered live sound for acts like Flotsam & Jetsam, Toxik, Nervosa, and Aborted, at major festivals including Wacken, Hellfest, and Rock in Rio.
Committed and dynamic, Martín Furia combines blazing guitar work, production mastery, and live engineering—leaving a lasting mark on international metal, from Argentina to Antwerp and beyond.
