A graduate of the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, over the last few years Jamie has cemented his reputation as one of the UK's busiest and most versatile session guitarists. Currently on European tour with Roisin Murphy, Jamie can be heard on her current Mercury Music Prize nominated album, Hairless Toys.
Jamie has featured live & on record with many established bands such as Jools Holland, Nell Bryden, Mick Hucknall, Melody Gardot, Kid Creole, Simple Minds, Britain's Got Talent, Was Not Was, Mica Paris, the London Jazz Orchestra, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and many more, and also features in many TV dramas, films, and adverts all around the world. He can currently be heard on the lastest Compare the Meerkat TV Campaign featuring Nicole Kidman, and the ITV Euro 16 ads with Eric Cantona too.
In 2001 Jamie won BBC Radio's Guitarist of the Year competition before studying music full time, gaining two separate Masters of Music qualifications; The first in contemporary composition (Newcastle University 2003), and the second in jazz performance & arranging (Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2009).
Also active in London's West End, Jamie regularly plays the Book of Mormon and Beautiful, having previously played Thriller Live and the UK premier of the Color Purple.
As a composer and artist in his own right, Jamie also leads his own acoustic ensemble and performs frequently as a soloist around the UK. Showcasing his interest in the boundaries between jazz & classical harmony, jamie's virtuosic ability borrows elements from both, without ever sacrficing strong and original melody and improvisation.
Now based at Battersea Park Studios in Central London, Jamie continues to play internationally both as a recording artist and as part of a multitude of live bands around the world.
