funtwo is an instrumental rock guitarist from South Korea who calls Aotearoa, New Zealand his second home. He is now back in Korea working on varying projects both online and offline.
In 2006, a video called 'guitar' on YouTube sprung to the attention of many around the world. Since then funtwo started his musical endeavours with his guitars.
funtwo was just an ordinary computer science student studyingat the University of Auckland who liked to play the electric guitar. One fine day, he woke up late in the afternoon,and to get some feedback on his playing, uploaded a video clip called ‘Canon’ onto a Korean music site called Mule. Then not long later, an anonymous person whose ID was knownas 'guitar 90' at the time uploaded it on to YouTube.
Millions of people around the world started to watch and comment on the clip. Only to be discovered by major media outlets like the New York Times and CNN, who reported on theguitar savvy 22-year-old’s video, unexpectedly making him oneof YouTube’s earliest stars.
Some big musical influences of funtwo are Joe Satriani, EricJohnson, Dream Theater, Nuno Bettencourt, Vivaldi and Bach.
